As posted in comments on Greta’s article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.
The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.
1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.
2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES.” Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.
3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork.” She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning – I imagine – that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.
4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.
5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.
6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.
By the way, she was content to return to Alaska after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.
You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the Democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents’ wives.
So “You go, Girl.” I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.
I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media.

You gotta love Robin Williams......Even if he acts nuts at times! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message to those who pretend to represent the bulk of America...

'I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.'

1) 'The US will apologize to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good 'ole' boys', we will never 'interfere' again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany ,South Korea , the Middle East , and the Philippines . They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them..

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

Why Democrats are afraid of God!

A conservative republican, in a wheelchair, enters a restaurant one afternoon and asks the waitress for a cup of coffee. The Conservative looked around the restaurant and after seeing a familiar figure asks the waitress,"Is that Jesus sitting over there?"

The waitress nods "yes" so the Conservative instructs that she give Jesus a cup of coffee, and quietly says "please put it on my check".

The next patron that comes in is a Libertarian, with a terrible hunched back. He shuffled over to a booth, painfully sits down, and asks the waitress for a cup of hot tea. After a few minutes he also glanced around the restaurant and asks, "Is that Jesus, over there?" The waitress nods "yes it is", so the Libertarian asks her, "give Jesus a cup of hot tea", Then quietly says "My treat".

A third patron comes into the restaurant and he is a Democrat on crutches. He hobbles over to a booth, sits down and hollers, "Hey there honey! How's about gettin' me a cold mug of Miller Light?" He too looks around the restaurant and asks, "Isn't that God's boy over there?

Once again the waitress nods yes, so the Democrat directs her to give Jesus a cold beer. "On and put it on my bill," he said loudly making sure everyone heard him.

In a little while Jesus gets up to leave and on his way he passed by the Republican, touched him and says, "For your kindness, you are healed." The Republican felt the strength come back into his legs, gets up, and danced out the door thanking Jesus.

Jesus then passed by the Libertarian, touched him and said, "For your kindness, you are healed". The Libertarian felt his back straightening up and he raised his hands, praised the Lord, and does a series of back flips out the door.

Then as Jesus begins to walk towards the Democrat, just smiling as he walks.

The Democrat jumps up forgetting his crutches and runs out the door yelling, "Don't touch me dont touch me ... I'm collecting disability and you will ruin it."

A pretty little girl named Suzy was standing on the sidewalk in front of her home. Next to her was a basket containing a number tiny creatures; in her hand was a sign announcing ‘FREE KITTENS.’


Suddenly a line of big black cars pulled up beside her. Out of the lead car stepped a tall, grinning man. "Hi there, little girl, I'm President Obama. What do you have in the basket?" he asked.

"Free Kittens" little Suzy said.

How old are they? asked Obama.

Suzy replied, "They are so young, their eyes aren't even open yet."

"And what kind of kittens are they?"

"Democrats," answered Suzy with a smile.

Obama was delighted. As soon as he returned to his car, he called his PR chief and told him about the little girl and the kittens..

Recognizing the perfect photo op, the two men agreed that the president should return the next day, and, in front of the assembled media, have the girl talk about her discerning kittens.

So the next day, Suzy was again standing on the sidewalk with her basket of "FREE KITTENS" when another motorcade pulled up, this time followed by vans from ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN& (BTW - no FOX NEWS).

Cameras and audio equipment were quickly set up, then Obama got out of his limo and walked over to little Suzy.

"Hello, again," he said, "Id love it if you would tell all my friends out there what kind of kittens you're giving away."

"Yes sir," Suzy said. "They are Republicans."

Taken by surprise, the president stammered, "But... but.... yesterday, you told me they were Democrats."




Little Suzy smiled and said, "yes president obama I know . But today, they have their eyes open sir."





The moral of the story?

Obama can try to bullshit everyone,even the butcher, the baker, & the candlestick maker, but he can never bullshit anyone who keeps their eyes open!

Its incredible how people will throw numbers around just because they heard them said before here or there or this or that place. The thing is they do it as if they are sure the source was so honest and correct it was gospel!
First of all there are almost 25 million Illegal aliens in America when you count the illegal (Plus) his or her extended family.
12.5 million illegals have crossed our borders against our laws also bringing with them many filthy habits including different starins of deseases from their native countries. Last year there was an outbreak of E Coli which was found to be the Montezuma's revenge strain which comes from drinking the germ infested water in mexico & most of the area to the south of mexico without drinking water treatment plants. The Ecoli outbreak turned out to be because the Taco bells were buying spinach harvested by illegal farm workers who had such filthy habits they deficated in the fields while they were picking the food & the germs got onto the food!
So now we have these lovely people in the USA but they dont live alone so there is an extended family of equal numbers with them so now its a total of 25 million illegals draining our america dry and not adding to our lives ONE TINY BIT!
They add nothing to the American economy because they send all the money they earn back home so they can retire & go back there, (ten years or so is the average stay), WHY ELSE DO YOU THINK THEY DONT WANT TO LEARN ENGLISH?
Now add to this all how they can send the USA earned money home outside the USA because they can live on American welfare programs. I have a relative who works at a welfare intake office & they are told you must give anyone who claims to be indigent welfare here in Pennsylvania, even if you have to get an interpreter for them. Oh and illegals will have to be given this healthcare plan too, ITS THE LAW IN AMERICA & SINCE OBAMA CLAIMED HE WAS A CONSTITUTIONAL PROFESSOR HE MUST HAVE KNOWN THAT NO SOCIAL HELP PROGRAM CAN BE DENIED TO ANYONE WHO IS IN THE USA EVEN IF THEY ARE ILLEGALS!
SO CONGRESSMAN JOE WILSON WAS CORRECT WHEN HE SAID YOU LIE! OBAMA LIED THROUGH HIS TEETH WHEN HE SAID ILLEGALS WOULD NOT BE COVERED!
Finally 50 to 75 percent of the health care costs TODAY come from what health care calls HEROIC EFFORTS TO CONTINUE THE LIFE OF ALL PATIENTS NO MATTERS HOW STUPID IT IS TO RESUSITATE THEM.
My 93 old mother was blind, paralyzed & had begged us to let her go, BUT THE NURSING HOME REFUSED TO ACCEPT HER WISHES NOT TO RESUSITATE IF SHE STOPS BREATHING. They intabated her (breathing tube down her throat) twice until I grabbed the doctor by the white coat & tolds him he will need the equiptment himself if he doesnt honor her wishes again! She passed away peacefully with a smile on her face that night!
Next, Pre existing conditions. Okay you own an insurance co & this guy comes in to you & says, Will you insure my car? You say sure!He pays you the premium then says oh by the way I smashed the car up last week will you appraise the damage & cut me a check? HOW DUMB ARE AMERICANS, NO ONE in business to make a profit WILL EVER INSURE PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS, ITS LIKE DEMANDING THE BARN DOOR WAS LOCKED AFTER YOUR MILLION DOLLAR HORSE RUNS AWAY ON YOU!
ARE AMERICANS ALL THAT STUPID THAT THEY THINK THAT WOULD BE COVERED BY A FOR PROFIT PRIVATE INSURANCE CO??
So if the Govt is going to do it, HOW MUCH EXTRA DO YOU THINK ITS GOING TO COST TAXPAYERS IN THE END TO PAY FOR ALL HEALTHCARE FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT?

Joe Wilson was correct, President was not telling the truth

Not so long ago a previous adminstration and the President was being called every vile name that house & senate democrats could think of. He was called an out and out liar from the well of the house even though Bill Clinton, Al Gore, & John Kerry all said Saddam had WMD's too.
Democrats woke up calling GW Bush names and they even did it in their sleep too. Democrats forget minor details & act like alzhiemers patients when Major of Fox cable news asked them to comment on the fact that prominent democrats also claimed on the record that it was common knowledge Saddam had WMD's.
Okay that said lets ask ourselves, IS THERE A CHANCE JOE WILSON WAS CORRECT IN HIS CLAIM? It has become very clear On top of that liberal hypocracy when dems disrespected President Bush now it seems President Obama really was prevaricating when he made the claims about his proposed Health care Bill.
The president acts as if we are uneducated dolts who could not read HR 3200 if we wanted to. Oh no Mr President WE THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY READ THESE BILLS SO EITHER YOU ARE NOT BEING HONEST WITH AMERICA OR YOU HAVENT READ THE WHOLE BILL YOURSELF MR PRESIDENT, WHICH IS IT?
We aren't like congress Mr President, ITS OUR TAX MONEY YOU ARE TOSSING AWAY SO WE READ THESE BILLS!
To begin with on page 16 it makes it very clear Americans will be required to change to the Govt Option,"If for any reason our present private insurance is cancelled or withdrawn or cacelled by us for any reason! The bill requires we enroll in the govt option proposed by HR3200! So under HR3200 we are not allowed to cancel or change our present coverage or private provider even if we find a less expensive one or for any reason whatsoever.
Mr President it seems you were being less than honest when you said we can keep or choose our private coverage any time we choose to? Care to explain that without going into a 2 hour diatribe about how wonderful you are first?
Oh and you know there is no provision to require legal citizen status before this bill helps illegals so you know they will sneak on just like they sneak into our country like thieves in the night! It is also why every ammendment requiring identification of citizen status was voted down by democrats .
We know you are slick Mr President, but some of us are not to easy to fool either, we have our hero Joe Wilson going to bat for us!
